I painted this piece for my Year 12 Visual Art Major Project. The work went on to help me achieve first place in Visual Design.
For me, the cherry blossoms represent love and new beginnings. When a blossom drifts toward you, it’s a gentle reminder that you are worthy of love and kindness, no matter what you’ve been through.
The lion symbolises courage - the strength to trust yourself, be brave, and keep moving forward.
Together, the blossoms and the lion tell a story of healing, self-love, and hope.
